Accidental Poets originally started in the weeks after the first Overload Poetry festival (2002) as an alternative to all the feature-based readings around Melbourne town and because of the end of Unlash'd Sunday readings. We aimed for a sharing ov poetic experience in a relaxed, lounge-like atmosphere. Accidental Poets was organised and co-MCed by Pamela Sidney, Elizabeth Škec, Patrick Alexander and paul. a škec.
